The moment I placed it on the canvas, the relaxed and sporty feel of Small Notes stood out—like someone scribbled it in a notebook during a coffee break. As a display font, it immediately brought a sense of approachability to the project.

I tested it on a logo concept for a boutique skincare brand, and the results were promising. It didn’t scream “corporate” or “formal,” which is exactly what this brand needed. The irregularity of the strokes gave it a human touch, making it perfect for branding that wanted to feel personal yet modern.

Small Notes for Wedding Invitations and Elegant Branding

Small Notes has a certain charm that works wonders on wedding supplies. I used it for an invitation mockup, pairing it with a clean sans-serif font for balance. The contrast between the two fonts created a beautiful hierarchy without overwhelming the design. The relaxed and sporty feel of Small Notes added warmth and personality to the event branding.

It also performed well on packaging mockups for a handmade jewelry line. Placed on product labels and gift boxes, it felt natural, almost like the designer had written it by hand. This kind of detail can make all the difference in creating an emotional connection with customers.

Try placing it on a shop sign, product mockup, or homepage hero section to see how it behaves at various sizes and distances. It’s important to note that while Small Notes excels as a display font, it may not be the best option for long body text due to its informal nature.

Also, consider font pairing. Combining Small Notes with a strong sans-serif or serif font can help maintain readability and visual balance. Always check commercial font licensing before using it in client work, brand identity, templates, merchandise, websites, or print-on-demand products to avoid legal issues down the line.
